Yellow Armband Respect Initiative for Young Referees

25 September 2019

The Liverpool County FA have launched a yellow armband respect initiative for young referees under the age of 18.

Yellow Armband Respect Initiative for Young Referees

This will see young match officials wearing a yellow armband to remind everyone that they are still subject to children’s safeguarding legislation. They should therefore be protected, encouraged and treated with respect.

If any of our referees receive abuse of any kind, the matter will be reported to the County FA and the punishment handed out will be double the normal punishment if a young referee is involved.

For more information about this initiative, please visit the Liverpool County FA website.
