League Suspended Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic

Friday 13 March 2020 16:07 by Jon Trenwith

To safeguard the health and well-being of all those who use our facilities during the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, our Committee have taken the decision to suspend the league programme for a minimum of two weekends.

League Suspended Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic

Update 16/03/2020: The league is now suspended until further notice, with no date yet set for when it will resume. See our later notice about the FA suspending grassroots football in England.

We are constantly monitoring the situation and seeing what other other local leagues are doing (a lot of local grassroots junior leagues have also cancelled as a precaution), as well as taking note of guidance from the FA and the County FA.

We appreciate that many of you may be disappointed by this, especially due to the disruption we've already had this season, so this is not a decision we have taken lightly.

Also note our other recent notice about extending the season until mid-June and starting mid-week matches in order to make up for lost weeks.
