Awards Presentation Cancelled

We are sad to announce that we have taken the decision to cancel the end of season awards presentation, which was due to take place this Sunday.

We have received a number of calls and messages from teams pulling out of the event due to attending tournaments and summer leagues, and more recently, due to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.

The committee was doing everything within its power to ensure that the event went ahead, as we wanted to recognise the hard work put in by the players, managers, officials, and everyone connected with the league. But it was agreed that the foremost importance is that of the safety and wellbeing of the children and all those in attendance.

With the current climate and the increase of cases within the local areas, the committee felt that it would be irresponsible to put people at risk by ignoring this.

Awards & Medal Collections #

The awards and medals can be collected by a nominated team representative from the Skem JFL Clubhouse on White Moss Road at the following dates and times:

U9s, U10s & U11s
Saturday 24th July 2021 - 10am-12pm
Sunday 25th July 2021 - 10am-12pm

U12s & U13s (plus any remaining U9s-U11s)
Saturday 31st July 2021 - 10am-12pm
Sunday 1st August 2021 - 10am-12pm

We'd also like to add a reminder that a £50 deposit will need to be left if a team wishes to borrow one of the big team trophies.

Annual General Meeting

With regards to the AGM, this is still taking place on Wednesday 28th July 2021 (full details here). The committee felt that due to less people attending this event compared to the awards presentation, we can still go ahead with this. Club Secretaries are reminded to ensure that they send the confirmation of attendance to [email protected] by Friday 23rd July 2021.
