2020/21 Season Information
27 August 2020
We are looking forward to the 2020/21 season starting and we have summarised some key information about the new season below.
Season Start Date
We were originally planning on the season starting on the first Sunday in September. But at the Council's request, we have pushed this date back, and our start date is now Sunday 13th September 2020.
COVID-19 Risk Assessment
We have been working with the Council on our COVID-19 Risk Assessment. We want to make our league as safe as possible to take part in, so we are taking all reasonable precautions to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19. This is a key requirement of both the Council and the County FA in allowing leagues to restart.
There will be three kick-off times for the 2020/21 season - 9am, 10:45am & 12:30pm. We have spaced-out our kick-off times more than originally planned in order to reduce the number of people at our venues at any one time. Our pitch plans will be updated before the season starts.
Player Registrations 2020/21
Teams need to get their players registered on the FA Whole System and submitted to our league. Lots of players have already been registered and approved to play.
Each team should make sure they have the minimum number of players registered to field a team by Thursday 3rd September 2020 if they wish their team to be included in the first week's fixtures.
The rest of the players need to be submitted by Thursday 10th September 2020 in order to be eligible to play in the first game of the season.
For any teams that want to pay their league fees up-front for the entire season (which incurs a reduce rate for fees), please note that this payment needs to be made to the league by Sunday 30th August 2020.
Further information and the league's bank details can be found on the League Fees page. Any teams that haven't paid the league fees up-front by this date will automatically be changed to weekly payments instead.
Affiliation Numbers 2020/21
Our team registrations opened before the affiliation window opened. Most teams have already sent us their 2020/21 affiliation numbers, but if your team hasn't, please email this to firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP.
We have a Players Wanted page where all teams in the league can advertise if they need players. If you wish us to put an advert out for your team, email email@example.com with the following information:
- Team Name & Age Group, e.g. Bulldogs FC U8s
