Blaguegate Pitch Information #

When arriving at Blaguegate Playing Fields for your match, please go to the container (not the main JMO Building) and a member of staff from the JMO Sports Park will give you the corner flags and nets. Teams should supply their own net pegs.

After your game, you are to return the equipment to the container and the Referee will remind you of this.

For those who were with us last season, the first teams were used to leaving the nets up, and the last teams taking them down.

All aspects involving Blaguegate, such as the line marking and grass cutting, are controlled by the Council so we have no control over this. The Committee are working hard to improve the pitch allocation process and the kick-off times, so please bear with us.

In addition, there have been many complaints about parking at the JMO Sports Park. If the car parks are full and you need to park elsewhere, please ensure that you park sensibly and do not impede the accessibility of the residents or other road users.

Important Notes for all Venues #

  • Please park respectfully towards local residents. Don't park on corners, on double-yellow lines, or across driveways. Please be aware that Traffic Wardens patrol this area and will give tickets out if needed.
  • Please dispose of rubbish in the bins provided.
  • Dogs are not allowed on the field whilst matches are taking place. This is for the safety of the children and spectators.
  • Teams should make sure that the goals/nets are returned to the container by the Clubhouse if there's no matches on after you.
  • Spectators should watch the games from the sidelines only, and not behind the goals or on the goal line.
  • Each team's spectators should make sure that they stand on opposite sidelines. These are marked on the pitch plans for 'home' and 'away' teams according to the fixtures.
  • Mangers have a responsibility to ensure their own team's spectators are standing together with them and not on the opposition sideline.
