Liverpool Road Playing Fields #

The clubhouse also contains a defibrillator, a first aid kit, the cafe, toilets and changing rooms.

Blaguegate Playing Fields #

  • When arriving at Blaguegate Playing Fields for your match, please go to the container (not the main JMO Building) and collect your equipment. There is a plastic bin for each pitch, each containing 2 nets and 4 corner flags. There will also be a pitch plan in the container.
  • Teams should supply their own net pegs.
  • After your game, you are to return the equipment to the container.
  • Teams in the first fixture will have to put the nets up, and teams in the last fixture will have to take them down and take them back to the container.
  • All aspects involving Blaguegate, such as the line marking and grass cutting, are controlled by the Council so we have no control over this.
  • Note that the nearest defibrillator to this venue can be found at the JMO Sports Park, which is next to this venue.

Blaguegate Car Parking #

The pitches at Blaguegate do not have parking facilities available for use on site, so the council promotes the use of Sandy Lane Car Park (postcode: WN8 8LH, Map Link) and using the footbridge as safe access to the playing fields (a 7 minute walk away).

Please note that the JMO Sports Park have reiterated that the JMO Car Park is for JMO customers only, and not for users of the grass pitches at Blaguegate Playing Fields. Though they are happy for disabled users to use the JMO Car Park if they are displaying a blue badge.

Hillside Car Parking #

The pitches at Hillside have an on-site car park. If the car park is full, please park considerately to the local residents.

Important Notes for all Venues #

  • Please park legally and respectfully towards local residents. Don't park on corners, on double-yellow lines, or across driveways. Please be aware that Traffic Wardens patrol this area and will give tickets out if needed.
  • Please dispose of rubbish in the bins provided.
  • Dogs are not allowed on the field whilst matches are taking place. This is for the safety of the children and spectators.
  • Teams should make sure that the goals/nets are returned to the container by the Clubhouse if there's no matches on after you.
  • Spectators should watch the games from the sidelines only, and not behind the goals or on the goal line.
  • Each team's spectators should make sure that they stand on opposite sidelines. These are marked on the pitch plans for 'home' and 'away' teams according to the fixtures.
  • Mangers have a responsibility to ensure their own team's spectators are standing together with them and not on the opposition sideline.
